A little bit of everything

Well friends, it’s been a bit hectic over here as I’m sure it has been for you all too. The holidays have a tendency to do that. As a result, I am running a bit behind schedule with the rest of the overhaul for davidbickley.com. It will be live soon though, rest assured…

After 3 Thanksgiving dinners, 3 anniversaries, 4 birthdays, 5 Christmas gatherings, and the year-end preparations for the upcoming Heavy Frequency Awards in February, I’m ready to recover and prepare to do it all again in 11 months.

I hope.

Stressful as the holidays can be, it’s wonderful to be able to see all of the people you love at once (or at 5 different onces, in our case). Plus, we received a ton of amazing gifts from so many people. Things like that force you to take a step back and realize how fortunate you are.

I wanted to show you something really cool that was given to us.

That friends, is something called “flowering tea”. It starts off as this little greyish-brown ball, and when you pour hot water over it, it blooms. Apparently the tea leaves and flowers are sewn together by hand, pretty amazing.

And the tea tastes wonderful too.

I hope the holidays were fantastic for each and every one of you.

Next time… the dreaded New Year’s resolutions.

Take care,

- David Bickley, Professional Photographer
