LATEST PROJECT: Central Missouri Humane Society – Charity Shoot
After a month or so of photo shoots that I can’t show you all yet, I am proud to bring you a very interesting young woman who came all the way from West Virginia to have me take her photo. Randi Ward is a wonderful poet that spent a number of years on the Faroe Islands, a small series of islands close the same distance from Norway, Iceland and the United Kingdom. She published a book in 2007 called Meditations on Salt which from what I understand, has made an enormous impact on the Faroese people.
This is my favorite photo from our session:
A little more urban now.
As I finish up these images I will be sure to add more for you all to see. Until then, check out her site at www.randiward.com. Most of it is in English, but if you happen to speak Faroese I’m sure you will enjoy it that much more.
Let’s just jump right into the photos, eh?
This is Ashley, a young woman with a ton of potential who has taken part of the offer I posted about last week. She doesn’t have a ton of modeling experience, but as I’m sure you’ll all agree…you can’t tell.
More after the jump.
I don’t generally post my design work on here because well, this blog is more about my life as a professional photographer; however, I am also a commercial graphic designer and the project I am in the midst of is pretty remarkable.
Heavy Frequency Magazine is putting on it’s 5th annual awards show, where they will once again honor the best of the best in local music. The endeavor is planned and executed by a young woman named Heather Bashaw, and her all volunteer staff. Heather has been running Heavy Frequency Magazine for about 8 years now, and she is only twenty-two years old. Yes folks, you read that right. She started this highly revered magazine when she was only fourteen.
For the past 3 years I have volunteered my services both as a professional photographer and a graphic designer. This year I am helping develop the ad campaign for their fifth annual award show, and this is the final look we have decided on:

So, all of you in Kansas City and the surrounding metro area…be on the look out. They get distributed soon.
Also, if you want to see a great show, make sure to be there. From what I understand there will be some huge prizes given out (some just for attending) and some even bigger thing that I have been sworn to secrecy about.
My lips are sealed.
