Daily Photographer – 3.124

It seems like only a couple of hours ago I was posting yesterday’s photo…oh, right.

My friend’s Alex and Claudia were married over the weekend in Los Angeles and honored me with the privilege of taking their wedding photos for them. It was a blast. From the ceremony on the beautiful Loyola Marymount campus, to a reception on what might just be the biggest yacht I’ve ever seen in person…the whole thing was just amazing.

I don’t have much time to say more, we have to be on set soon. Have a great day!

See you tomorrow,

Finally landed in the next city (Minneapolis). There was no time earlier to get the daily image out. Sorry for the delay.

I’m pretty wiped out and the day starts super early so…time for bed.

Today is a wedding day!

Not for the daily image, but for my plans. My friends Alex and Claudia are tying the knot out here in Los Angeles today. I haven’t gotten to see it yet but apparently they rented a giant yacht for the reception. I’m excited. In fact, outside of the sea voyage I’m not sure I’ve thought about much else this morning.

Speaking of, I need to get ready.

I really like changing time zones when I switch into an earlier time.

I woke up super early today, and have basically every bit of work I needed to finish done. It’s not even noon yet! Totally awesome.

All that’s left is to wait for a few shoots to upload, send out a couple more emails…and then it’s time to try to learn how to surf. I’m excited.

It seems like a solid idea to get today’s post out while I’m sitting at the airport. I’m actually very thankful for how much time I’ll be spending on planes in the coming weeks. It will be great to get some solid time to work on the something like 10,000 images I have to get through.

I completely forgot to put any music on the laptop last night though so I’m going to have to remedy that before we take off. Which is going to happen pretty quickly. Time to stop writing and start resolving the silence.

I’m packed!

I think…

No matter how prepared you are I think there is always that feeling of forgetting something. Isn’t there?

Any way, I’m off to Los Angeles in the morning and from there I’m going what feels like everywhere else. I’m pumped though, the next 3-4 weeks are going to be awesome.

Today marked the last session I had booked before I fly out on Thursday. Tomorrow is all meetings and logistics.

Oh, and laundry, packing, uploading, editing, etc…

One of these days I’ll figure out the best way to tackle everything without missing a beat. Tomorrow is not looking to be that day. Nevertheless, I’m excited! I can’t wait to show you all what I have going on. You know I’ll tell you as soon as I can.

Sorry for the late post today, I just got home from an all-day shoot with WBFF competitor Taylor Parry.

Taylor Parry by David Bickley Photography

We had a blast, and she did such a great job. Can you believe it’s her first time in front of a camera? I couldn’t. There are a ton of photos to go through from her shoot, and from the weekend as a whole, but you’ll be seeing a lot more from her as I get them processed.

Time to sleep now, more sessions in the morning.

The WBFF weekend here in Kansas City is officially over, and what an amazing weekend it was.

I don’t know about the rest, but I had a blast. The weekend being over doesn’t mean that I’m through photographing competitors…I’m actually shooting right up until my flight leaves on Thursday. It takes so much dedication and effort to get to where these athletes are during this week that I can’t help but give as much time as humanly possible to them to capture it, and hopefully help them get published.

That said, I’m going to try to play a little sleep catch-up before my session in the morning.

The WBFF Central US Championships are here!

There isn’t a lot of time to write much as I have to get to the venue and help make sure the stage is lit right. Have I mentioned lately that I love light? No? Well I do! Yesterday was an awesome day even if I was completely delirious by the end of it. I can’t wait to see what happens at the show.

See you tomorrow,
