It took me all of twenty minutes inside Cabela’s today to realize that our country is maaaybe a little scared right now.
Granted, I rarely go in stores like this but in the times that I have there has never been a time where people were as gun crazy as they seemed to be today. Thankfully I went in to price a couple of recurve bows so I got to avoid all of that for the most part but it’s still a little shocking. I’m not judging one way or the other, and I have no intention of weighing in on the whole gun control thing going on right now. No thank you. All I’m saying is that it’s a little weird to see people buying handguns like they were buying a new pair of shoes.
“Oh, that one looks cool.”
“This one has a lazer!”
Seriously? Are you comfortable with someone carrying a gun that they bought cause it was shiny and had a neat red light?
I wish I could invent the force field.
