Today’s image is one of the only pieces I’ve ever actually considered hanging in my home.
That is not to say that I’m not proud of my work. I wouldn’t share it if I wasn’t happy with it. The lack of my own art hanging in my home is more due to the fact that something about that just feels a bit self-absorbed. Maybe because I don’t generally shoot to create a specific piece I would hang. Maybe because I tend to prefer paintings. In fact, as I look around while writing this it hits me that I don’t have a single photograph on my walls. Is that odd for a photographer? The only photo even displayed on a shelf is a posed snapshot of most of my family. Perhaps that says something about what is important enough for me to frame. I’ve never really thought about this before apparently.
See you tomorrow,
