I absolutely love working with the Kansas City Symphony. Yeah sure, that sounds a bit like I’m saying that just because they are a client, but that’s not why. Probably smart, but not why.
It’s been mentioned before that when I’m shooting an event (music or otherwise), I tend to tune out whatever audio is around me. It’s just a byproduct of focusing on the image. However, there are some moments in these performances where a piece is too soft for me to take a photo during it. The act would be too disruptive. In those moments I do actually get to listen, and last night my moment was Claude Debussy’s “Clare De Lune.”
What a beautiful piece to be able to hear live.
Go look it up, you’ll recognize it.
See you tomorrow,
D
