If there is one thing I love more than taking photos, it’s taking photos of friends. I know it sounds really cheesy, but it’s true. Maybe it’s just because I know fun people. Erica and Kyle are no exception.
Erica asked me last week if I would take their engagement photos. Apparently the photographer they hired to shoot their wedding was proving a little difficult to book for the engagement photos.
Naturally I said yes, I mean come on… could you say no to these two?
Bright and early this morning I met them out at the giant amount of farmland they call home.
It’s a beautiful farm with tons of great locations for photography.
The spot you see below was one of my favorites. It’s also a very personal place for Erica and Kyle.
It’s their “spot”, the place that they go to retreat from the world and enjoy being together. I’m a firm believer in taking time each day to focus on yourself and your relationship. People get too wrapped up in their daily lives if you ask me. Which you didn’t, but I’m telling you anyway.
There is something to be said for being a hard worker, or a driven personality. I have to say though, personally, I’m happiest when my world is quiet and I can take the time to enjoy the fact that I’m alive.
After all, life sucks when you can’t enjoy it.
