Jason and Jennifer’s wedding…what a blast. You may remember them from the engagement photos I posted on here a while back. Maybe not, who knows.
The day started around 2:30pm with photographs of the preparation mayhem.
Which is probably my favorite part of each event I shoot. Everyone is so busy getting ready that they don’t even notice me there, and that makes for the best photos in my opinion.
If Jason and Jennifer were nervous I only saw it once. More often than not the bridal party is bouncing off the walls trying to get everything perfect. The two of them were calm and really seemed to just want to take it all in. Couples like that are refreshing.
Pictures of people freaking out just make for a strange album anyway.
Happy people = happy photos.
I think I may be one of the luckiest photographers in the world. Not because of anything other than the fact that I have never had a client that I didn’t like working with. Whether it’s a wedding, commercial client, a family photo, concerts, or whatever…I have some of the coolest clients, and I love that.
I’m getting sappy so I’m going to break up the pace a bit.
A shot of Jason looking devilish should do it, right?
Maybe one of an inflatable concert will do.
I’m not sure why, but a surprising number of grooms opt not to do the dip.
I can’t figure out why. Each time a bride and groom dance there I am, camera ready, waiting for the dip. Each time, I am disappointed. Jason finally broke the mold. Thank you.
In the midst of everyone dancing (which was also refreshing) I caught the cutest picture I’ve taken all year.
You can click the picture to make it larger by the way. In case you still can’t tell what he’s doing though. The little boy is taking a picture of the bride and groom.
Alright readers, I’m going to wrap this up now so I can go to work laying out an album.
Jason and Jennifer, thank you so much for allowing me to come and photograph your wedding day. I wish you both the best.
Now I need to fight a bear or something to make up for all my gushing earlier.
